Is a delicious white wine from the Limburg area the Netherlands. This wine is made from Pinot Gris grapes.
Recommended wine serving temperature between 8°C and 12°C.
After the Middle Ages, the Dutch wine tradition, which has its origins in Roman times, gradually gave way to other forms of agricultural activity. Until 1970 the first vines returned to the southern slopes of the Jekerdal in Maastricht. Here, on one of Limburg's most beautiful spots on top of the Louwberg, the oldest and one of the largest wine estates in the Netherlands, De Apostelhoeve, is enthroned. This wine estate, now more than 10 hectares in size, produces six beautiful, dry white wines: the Müller-Thurgau, Auxerrois, Riesling, Pinot-gris, Pinot-gris barriques and the Apostelhoeve Cuvée XII plus two sparkling wines: Apostelhoeve Riesling Brut and Apostelhoeve Cuvée XII Brut.
This Dutch white wine has a round, fairly firm, slightly mild taste. It's a surprisingly successful wine, pinot gris is hard to cultivate but this wine has elements of passion fruit, citrus and southern fruits.
An excellent partner with salmon, chicken or pork.
