Capoforte Primitivo, an Italian wine from Puglia, is rich and spacious, with generous wild red berry fruit, dark cherry and plum, enriched by subtle notes of tobacco leaf and roast espresso bean, then spicier impressions of vanilla and coca powder. Superbly-structured, with a velvety texture and rounded mouthfeel, acidity. Impressively rich, yet crisp, fragrant cocoa powder, espresso bean, and vanilla.
This wine pairs well with tasty pasta dishes, grills and mature cheeses.
Capoforte Primitivo is an Italian red wine from Puglia from winery Capoforte. This wine is made from Primitivo grapes.
Masseria Capoforte is located in Salento, in the middle of fig, olive and eucalyptus trees, along roads built by Jesuit monks and noble Templars. In an utterly unique corner of the world, where the most archaic waves of the Mediterranean wash a wild shore scorched by a blinding sun that startles the mind and forces it back in time.
The cultivation of the vines on the Masseria Capoforte estate takes place on sandy-clay soils rich in tuff, a generous, sapient rock, friend of the burnt earth, which jealously guards the water and then slowly releases it to the soil. The viticulture here favors quality at every stage of growth. The choice fell first on a varietal vineyard, the first on the Ionian coast, with vines trained according to the single Guyot system, with a high density of vines per hectare.
The choice is also to harvest by hand, with loving hands that meticulously select each bunch so that it remains perfect, healthy and wholesome in its fullness and in its fragrances. The selection must consist exclusively of the production of wines of the highest quality.
