Capoforte Primitivo

Capoforte Primitivo is a wine produced by Masseria Capoforte, a winery in the Puglia region of Italy. Primitivo is an indigenous grape variety grown mainly in Puglia, although it is also known as Zinfandel in other parts of the world.

Capoforte Primitivo is made from Primitivo grapes that grow in the vineyards of Masseria Capoforte. The wine is known for its rich and powerful character, with deep colors and intense aromas.

Capoforte Primitivo is characterized by its ripe fruitiness and complex flavor profile. This wine has notes of dark fruit, such as blackberries and plums, as well as spicy aromas of black pepper and licorice. The wine has a medium to full body and a good structure with ripe tannins. It often has a pleasant, lingering aftertaste.

Capoforte Primitivo exemplifies Masseria Capoforte's commitment to producing high quality wines that reflect the unique characteristics of the Primitivo grape variety and terroir of Puglia. It is a wine that can appeal to both wine lovers and lovers of powerful red wines.

Capoforte Primitivo pairs well with a variety of dishes, including grilled red meats, stews, aged cheeses, and rich pasta dishes. It can also be enjoyed on its own as a wine to enjoy.

Masseria Capoforte

Masseria Capoforte is located in Salento, in the middle of fig, olive and eucalyptus trees, along roads built by Jesuit monks and noble Templars. In an utterly unique corner of the world, where the most archaic waves of the Mediterranean wash a wild shore scorched by a blinding sun that startles the mind and forces it back in time.

The cultivation of the vines on the Masseria Capoforte estate takes place on sandy-clay soils rich in tuff, a generous, sapient rock, friend of the burnt earth, which jealously guards the water and then slowly releases it to the soil. The viticulture here favors quality at every stage of growth. The choice fell first on a varietal vineyard, the first on the Ionian coast, with vines trained according to the single Guyot system, with a high density of vines per hectare.

The choice is also to harvest by hand, with loving hands that meticulously select each bunch so that it remains perfect, healthy and wholesome in its fullness and in its fragrances. The selection must consist exclusively of the production of wines of the highest quality.
