In the 1990's, Alejandro Fernández bought a unique domain in historic Zamora. Till that moment another forgotten wine region, since 2008, thanks in part to the many efforts of Alejandro, a thriving Denominación de Origen. This region to the west of Toro was already known by the Romans as an excellent place for viticulture. The 800 hectare domain consists of forest and agriculture, with chickpeas, sheep, cows and 250 hectares of vineyard. Perhaps the most striking are the impressive wine cellars that were dug here in the mid-eighteenth century. They offer perfect conditions for the maturing of the wines. The wine, which is made from grapes from old canes and then gets a 24-month wood aging, is a relatively unknown gem from Alejandro's portfolio and has an excellent price-quality ratio.
Condado The Haza Crianza is a delicious Spanish red wine from the Ribera del Duero region Spain. This wine is made from Tempranillo grapes.
Recommended wine serving temperature between 15°C and 18°C.
This Ribera del Duero wine from Spain has an intense ruby red color. A warm nose with aromas as plums, cherry, toasted oak and roasted coffee. In the mouth, a lush feeling, round and almost sweet, with aromas of ripe fruit like strawberries and cherries. A silky smooth structure with a good balance between fruit and tannins. The finish is long and sensual.
This wine requires roast or grilled meat as lamb, beef, pork or poultry. Also highly recommended with matured Spanish goats or sheep cheeses.
