Enate Chardonnay Fermentado en Barrica has a beautiful, deep yellow color with a hint of green. Complex aromatic with the classic accents of wood-fermented and aged chardonnay (hazelnuts, toasted bread, smoke), supplemented with fresh fruity notes (pineapple, grapefruit). Full, creamy mouthfeel, fresh and complex, with a long and balanced finish.
The hand-picked bunches are destemmed. The grapes are pressed gradually and gently pneumatically, after which the young must is fermented in French oak barriques. The wine also undergoes malolactic fermentation, making it much rounder and softer. Before bottling, the wine rests for 8 months on its 'lias' (fine sediment) in the same barriques.
Excellent companion of hearty sea fish, shellfish and crustaceans or white meat in creamy sauces. Highly recommended with (starter) dishes with smoked fish or meat. Surprisingly tasty with tasteful, creamy and semi-hard cheeses.
