Gorgo Custoza has a light straw yellow color with a hint of green. Soft and delicate on the nose, vinous and elegantly fruity (pears). Well structured wine, soft on the tongue, fresh, juicy and balanced. Fresh, delicate and never tiring as an aperitif, with or without some light amuse-bouches. This wine is made from the following grape varieties: Bourboulenc, Garganega, Trebbiano.
The grapes are harvested well ripened and undergo a short soaking of a few hours on their skins. The fermentation is classic, with strict temperature control. After fermentation, the young wine rests for another 4 months in stainless steel tanks.
At the table, this Bianco di Custoza is a widely appreciated accompaniment to light starters, pasta with a creamy white sauce, delicate soups or light spring vegetable minestrone. This wine also goes well with delicate, refined dishes with fish or other delicacies from the sea.
Cantina Custoza is a delicious Italian white wine from the Veneto region. This wine is made by winery Cantina Gorgo from Garganega, Bianca Fernanda, Trebbiano Toscano, Trebbianello, and Incrocio Manzoni grapes.
Azienda Agricola Gorgo is owned by the very charming Roberta Bricolo. It is the textbook example of the new Italian viticulture: traditional and high-quality wines with their own identity.
The winery is beautifully situated in the middle of the vineyards near Custoza, just south of Lake Garda, and is artistically, almost avant-garde, decorated with marble slabs. The quality of the wines and the beautiful decoration of the bottles are a feast at the table. The attractive prices also make the wines accessible to a large audience.
