Graham's Fine Tawny Port has a light brownish red color. Aromas of ripe fruit and dried fruit. The characteristic nutty Tawny scent can already be smelled. The taste is drier than Ruby but still sweet. Versatile character with good balance. The Tawny Port derives its name from the tawny color of the barrel aging. It is a Port of several harvest years and therefore of high quality over the years.
The grapes of the Graham's Tawny Port come from the higher Douro valley. Here the grapes grow on unique Quintas with a schist soil. This substrate can only be found here and produces Port of exceptional quality.
After vinification, the wine matures for three years in wooden barrels. As a result, the Port develops notes of nuts and dried fruit. The texture is therefore lighter and softer than the Ruby Port.
This Grahams Port is delicious with mature and more mature cheeses, dates, figs, nuts and chocolate.
Graham's Fine Tawny Port is a port made from Tinta Barroca, Touriga Franca, Tinto Cao and Touriga Nacional grapes.
W & J Graham's is the story of two families over three centuries. For nearly two hundred years, W & J Graham's has been an independent family business known for producing the finest Port wines.
Graham's has always been a pioneer. Graham's was one of the first port companies to invest in its own vineyards in Portugal's Douro Valley in 1890 and is now a leader in innovation in winemaking techniques. Today, five Symington cousins share responsibility for every aspect of the business and personally make Graham's wines. They too have been involved in Port Wine and the Douro for many generations, with ancestors dating back to the mid-17th century.
