Hamilton Russell Vineyards is one of the most southerly and seaside wineries in South Africa. The winery is a pioneer in viticulture in the beautiful, cool, maritime Hemel-en-Aarde Valley area. Founder Tim Hamilton Russell bought 170 hectares in the Hemel-en-Aarde valley in 1975. His Pinot Noir and Chardonnay quickly enjoyed a great reputation. Son Anthony, who took over the company in 1991, decided to concentrate on that. His wines enjoy great acclaim, even with a maximum five-star rating for the Chardonnay in Platter's wine guide.
