Is a delicious white wine from the Loire area France. This wine is made from Sauvignon Blanc grapes.
Recommended wine serving temperature between 8°C and 11°C.
The team at Joseph Mellot domains, ambassador of the Center Loire region and present in each of the appellations, welcomes you to the Joseph Mellot tasting cellar where the winemaking takes place, located on the way to Ménétréol, close to Sancerre.
Alexandre Mellot was the instigator for the domaine’s development, covering all the appellations of the Centre Loire region. This cellar was built in 1990, after which we acquired several domaines: Jacques Marchand in Pouilly Fumé in 1994, Pierre Duret in Quincy in 1995, Jean-Michel Sorbe in Quincy and Reuilly in 1999.
This wine has a beautiful clear golden yellow robe with a lovely shine. The first nose starts with some honey and candied apricot flavors. La Grande Châtelaine offers a development of aromatic components such as dates and quince.
A lovely wine to try with refined dishes or on its own as an aperitif. It is also the perfect accompaniment to fish such as salmon or monk fish and scallops.
