Los Vascos Chardonnay, a Chilean wine from Colchagua Valley, is clear and light golden yellow in color. Los Vascos Chardonnay has a delicate scent with beautiful fruit notes and an exotic touch. Pure and stylish taste, very fruity, lively and juicy.
By far the largest part of the grapes come from our own winery in Colchagua. In addition, a small percentage of long-term contracts have been concluded with wine growers in cooler areas such as Casablanca, for an extra fresh touch.
Fantastic wine with fish, appetizers, amuse bouillabaisse, terrines, lightly seasoned white meat and as an aperitif.
Los Vascos Chardonnay is a delicious Chilean white wine of Viña Los Vascos from Colchagua Valley Chile. This wine is made from Chardonnay grapes.
At the place where Viña Los Vascos now stands (Colchagua Valley in Central Chile), the first vines were planted 250 years ago by the Echenique family. The first French grape varieties were introduced around 1850. In 1981, the bodega was definitively named Viña Los Vascos, a tribute to the original Basque owners.
Since 1988, Los Vascos has been part of the Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite), a group of wineries led by the renowned Château Lafite-Rothschild in Bordeaux. The vineyards are located at an altitude of over 120 meters and about 40 kilometers from the Pacific Ocean. Wind from the sea tempers the heat during the summer months and in winter the area is free of frost. Due to the significant temperature differences between day and night, the grapes ripen slowly and are given every opportunity to develop their full aroma potential.
