Marchesi di Barolo Barolo Tradizione is garnet red in color with ruby red hues. Intense scents of spices, vanilla, roasted hazelnuts, licorice, cocoa and wild roses. A full, elegant taste and a good body. The tones of spices and wood blend perfectly together.
The grapes are hand-picked and quickly taken to the cellar to de-stem and gently crush. The grapes undergo a controlled temperature fermentation of 28-30 degrees in stainless steel tanks. The wine matures for two years in partly Slovenian and partly French oak barrels. Then 12 months in bottle.
The grapes of this Barolo come exclusively from the best vineyards of Barolo, Monforte, Castiglion Falletto and La Morra.
Perfect wine with the traditional egg pasta from Langhe Area (Tajarin), ravioli (pasta stuffed with meat), grilled red meats, stews, braised meats and game. It prefers the cheese of sheep’s milk and goat’s milk.
Marchesi di Barolo Barolo Tradizione is a delicious Italian red barolo wine from the Piedmont region. This wine is made by winery Marchesi di Barolo from Nebbiolo grapes.
The cellars of Marchesi di Barolo are located in the village of Barolo, with views over the castle of Marquis Falletti. At the beginning of the 19th century, he laid the foundation for the now world-famous Barolo wines. The building where the winery is now located once belonged to Marquis Falletti. After the death of the last descendant Falletti in 1864, the work was continued by the charity Opera Pia Barolo. In 1895, Pietro Abbona began working in the wine cellars and through his persistence, knowledge and skills, he created the Marchesi di Barolo wine company and eventually made the wine cellars, vineyards and La Volta castle family property for the Abbona's.
