Is a nice Spanish red Rioja wine made from Tempranillo grapes by Bodegas Marques de Riscal.
Recommended wine serving temperature between 16°C and 18°C.
In the heart of the Marqués de Riscal wine cellars, a colossal project has been brought to life with the special contribution by the Canadian architect, Frank O. Gehry. It gives shape to the cellars’ spirit – innovation and tradition are united in a single building, made using the most modern materials and constituting a true architectural landmark. Without a shadow of a doubt, the City of Wine is one of the most ambitious projects ever undertaken in Spanish wine cellars to date.
This Spanish Rioja wine has a dark cherry colour, lively with few signs of evolution. High aromatic intensity in which the toasted and spicy aromas from the French oak predominate, together with ripe, dark-berried fruit. In the mouth, it is fresh and smooth with soft, polished tannins in which the wood is not too intrusive. Complex and elegant with a long, balanced finish.
This wine goes well with ham and mature cheeses, red meat, poultry, game casseroles, such as partridge, rabbit, venison, boar or deer, even when accompanied by spicy sauces.
