Montes Alpha M
Montes Alpha M, a Chilean icon wine, has an intense ruby red color. In the wine you will find scents of black and red berries, red fruit and a note of black pepper, tobacco and spices. Subtle vanilla notes. Beautiful, full and robust wine. Perfect balance between acidity, maturity and structure. Nice aftertaste. Very large wine with Médoc-like characteristics.
The vineyards are located on the higher slopes of Apalta valley in one of the best microclimates. The soil is poor with limited organic matter. Due to its location, the grapes ripen perfectly and keep fresh fruitiness due to the cooling wind from the Andes mountains.
The grapes are harvested manually. After a careful selection of only the best fruit, the wine is traditionally made. The wine is aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels. Decantation is required.
Wine - Food pairing
Serve this wine with grilled meats, lamb and red meat. But this wine is also recommended with spicy mold cheeses.

Montes Alpha M is a delicious Chilean red wine of Viña Montes from Chile. This wine is made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, en Petit Verdot grapes.
Vina Montes
Montes' story seems like a dream but has become more and more reality. In 1987, Aurelio Montes and Douglas Murray, both with extensive expertise in the world of wine, set out to realize their dream of producing top quality wines far superior to those produced in Chile up to that point. In 1988 two more partners joined, Alfredo Vidaurre and Pedro Grand, each of whom made their special and complementary contribution, thus giving birth to Viña Montes.
Montes is one of the absolute top producers in Chile and Aurelio Montes was recently voted Chile's most influential winemaker. Montes has five vineyards. Three of them are in Curico Valley and two in Colchagua Valley. In 2004, a completely new winery was built in Alpalta, which was set up according to the Chinese Fengh Shui philosophy. Aurelio Jr. has now also earned his spurs as a winemaker and together with his father he forms a close and successful team.
