Churchill’s Port

In 1981, 29-year-old John Graham decides that something needs to change in the traditional world of port. The style in which port wines are made at that time is classic; fortified wines with a relatively sweet character which often drowns out the fresh fruitiness. John Graham's port is distinctly different. He takes his own preferences as a starting point and starts making port that contains less sugars and is therefore pleasantly drier, fresher and much more expressive. When choosing the brand name, all credit goes to his wife's family name; the birth of Churchill's is a fact. More than forty years later, Churchill's still distinguishes itself with red and white port that is extremely captivating for lovers of exciting wines. Churchill's has long since moved beyond the idea that port is a drink traditionally drunk after dinner.
