Bodegas Ramón Bilbao was founded in 1924 by Ramón Bilbao Murga, an experienced wine merchant. Ramón Bilbao was seen as a progressive grape grower with a great deal of knowledge about the art of making wine. The winery was passed on from generation to generation. Until the last member of the Bilbao family, Ramón Bilbao Pozo, died in 1966. The company of Ramón Bilbao was converted in 1972 to a company with new shareholders. New facilities were built. Similarly in the province of Haro, where nowadays the winery Ramón Bilbao is located.
Is a nice Spanish red Rioja wine made from Tempranillo grapes by Bodegas Ramon Bilbao.
>Ramón Bilbao Edicion Limitada has an intense, dark cherry red color. Complicated aromas of plums in liqueur, ripe blueberries and exotic wood. Elegant and voluptuous in the mouth with a substantial, persistent and pleasing mineral finish. A full wine of complexity that will increase over time.
This wine tastes good with grilled meat, smoked hams and sausages, as well as international cuisine (sushi, Tex-Mex and curries).
