Ramón Bilbao Reserva has subtle fruit aromas of pear, plum and apple. Light hint of wood with a hint of cigar box, cedar wood. Subtle, elegant wine and very complex.
By determining the correct ratio between the grapes, the basis is laid for a wine that can age well. 18 months in American oak gives the wine structure, complexity and shelf life.
The best vineyards of Ramon Bilbao are in the heart of the Rioja. With the loamy and limestone soil combined with good water management, this area produces the best grapes of the Tempranillo. Supplemented with Mazuelo, Graciano grapes for extra depth and complexity.
Combine this wine with grilled or roasted red meat or wild or perennial Dutch cheeses.
