Bodegas Sandeman is based in Cadiz, Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. In 1790, George Sandeman, an ambitious young Scot from Perth, started a wine business in London. With a £300 loan he bought his first wine cellar in Jerez and started trading Port and Sherry from Tom's Coffee House. Sandeman was the first to label his wine bottles. This greatly increased Sandeman's popularity at the beginning of the 20th century.
