Val d'Oca

Cantina di Valdobbiadene Val d'Oca

The Cantina Produttori di Valdobbiadene - Val d'Oca is beautifully situated amidst rolling hills between Asolo and Conegliano at the foot of the Treviso pre-Alps. At 50 kilometers from Venice and about 100 kilometers from the Dolomites. The location between the sea and the Pre-Alps creates a temperate climate with a year average of 12.3 ° Celsius and constant ventilation. This allows the grapes to dry quickly after the rain. The area is characterized by frequent summer rains with an average of 1250 mm. rainfall. The hills extend from east to west, so they have a slope on the south. There the vineyards enjoy the best sun exposure and a northern slope, mostly occupied by forests. The altitude varies from 100 to 500 meters.

The vines

For more than three centuries, the Glera vine has found its ideal environment on these hills. He loves water, but is afraid of the stagnation. The slope of the hills ensures that the rain is always drained. Since the introduction of the DOC, in 1969, the historic production area has been limited to 15 municipalities. Two of them give it the name: Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, one the cultural capital and the other productive heart. Founded in 1952, the consortium currently consists of 576 growers and 714 hectares of vineyards.

Val d'Oca high-quality wines

For many years, the Cantina Produttori di Valdobbiadene - Val d'Oca strives to produce high-quality wines with care and craftsmanship. The label is the identity card of the wine. It reports various information about the bottle, the most important being the name of the territory in which it was produced, alone or associated with Prosecco Superiore for the sparkling wine.
