Vietti Barbera d'Alba Tre Vigne is dark ruby red color. A powerful aromatic wine with notes of ripe cherries, vanilla and violets. Fresh at the start, round, warm and soft tannin rich on the tongue, complex and balanced, with a bowl full of ripe cherries and the 'kiss of the wood' as a bonus.
The grape juice undergoes a fermentation of 10 days in stainless steel tanks at 26-32°C. Every day, some fermenting juices are drawn off and sprayed over the husk hat, while the husk hat is also regularly immersed. After malolactic fermentation, the young wine undergoes a 10-month aging in stainless steel tanks, French oak barriques and larger Slavonian barrels. Bottled unfiltered.
Traditionally served with antipasti, rich salads, grilled seasonal vegetables, meats, richly filled soups, pasta with vegetables and or meat, veal or pork and poultry with a not too heavy sauce.
Vietti Barbera d'Alba Tre Vigne is a delicious Italian red wine from the Piemonte region. This wine is made by the winery Vietti from Barbera grapes.
The history of Vietti winery dates back to the 19th century. However, it was not until the beginning of the 20th century that the name Vietti became a winery with its own bottled wines. Patriarch Mario Vietti made the first Vietti wines from 1919 and sold most of the production in Italy. His main achievement was to transform the family farm, which is engaged in many fields, into a grape growing and wine producing company.
Vietti is definitely a top domain. Mario Cordero's robust Barolos and Barberas are world class and very scarce! In addition, he brings an extremely good Nebbiolo to the market with the Nebbiolo Langhe Perbacco.
