Shiraz - Syrah
The Shiraz (in English people talk about the Shiraz, in French about the Syrah) is doing well in dry climates. In Southeast France, the Rhone region, the Syrah tastes different from the Shiraz from Australia. The latter is slightly sweeter but heavier and more powerful with a lot of alcohol.
Wine & Food
The Syrah is primarily an eating wine. This wine is a sturdy wine and therefore fits well with a solid dish. Especially good with lamb, but also with red meat, steak or rabbit.
