Sattlerhof is located on a steep hill to the south of Gamlitz with a great view of the bewildering landscape of Southern Styria. In this wonderful setting, we attend to approx. 40 hectares of vineyards and produce exclusive wines that are known both in Austria and well beyond its borders. We cultivate rather small parcels of land with very steeply inclined, challenging vineyards that are ideally oriented and at the right altitude, with a special emphasis on organic wine growing, sustainable treatment of our soils and the long livity of our vines. This is our own contribution to a cultural landscape that has been cultivated for several hundreds of years. The name Sattlerhof is a promise- of outstanding quality and an extraordinary experience. It is lived up to by the whole family, and especially the two brothers - Willi und Hannes Sattler – who lend each of the two Sattlerhof activities their special character. The young generation increasingly leaves its marks on all things concerning the Sattlerhof. Tradition and innovation are the roots for the young ones in shaping the successful future of our family-owned winery. Our son Andreas studies viticulture, has taken co-responsibility for three harvests to date and also started training for the Wine Academy Diploma. Our son Alexander has meanwhile created his second wine -which will be released in May 2015. Daughter Michaela studies art and has, among other things, designed the labels for Element Sauvignon blanc and Grassnitzburg Sauvignon blanc. Our youngest one, Lukas, is currently training in graphic design and contributes creative ideas in many ways.
