Vina Ventisquero is the brainchild of Don Gonzalo Vial, a self-made man whose success story began in 1955 on his family's farm in the rural area of Rancagua. His passion for the vine and his father's love for the land and agriculture were his inspiration in realizing his dream: in 1998 he laid the foundation for Vina Ventisquero.
Ventisquero is very progressive, dynamic and extremely successful when it comes to making high quality wines, taking care of the environment first at every stage. Ventisquero owns its own vineyards in Chile's main wine-growing areas: Coastal Maipo, Casablanca, Colchagua, Leyda and Huasco (Atacama).
The wines of Ventisquero are conveniently divided into a number of clearly distinguished ranges, from extremely affordable, accessible wines for everyday use to the very best that Chile produces in wine. It starts with Tantehue. A step above that are the Clasico's, mostly blends of wines from Chile's best wine regions, such as Casablanca, Maipo, Rapel and Colchagua. Then comes the Yelcho range, with tasty, accessible wines, each from a specific wine region. The Reservas are more complex wines with more intensity and structure, also each from a specific wine region.
