Connection to nature is at the Estate of Gernot Hain paramount. Since the seventeenth century, the Hain family has been making wine on the steep, renowned and impressive Piesporter Goldtröpfchen vineyard in the Moselle. The vineyard is planted on steep to very steep (60%!) Slopes, with a bottom of slate from the Devonian era and a completely southern zone exhibition.
The soil type and the specific microclimate give the Rieslings extra character, with the Moselle minerality so characteristic in the wines of top producers. Riesling at a high level!
Both Der Feinschmecker and Eichelmann give the domain 4 stars.
