Domaine Serge Dagueneau et Filles

Domaine Serge Dagueneau et Filles is a family business with a rich history in the Loire Valley, located in the prestigious Pouilly-Fumé appellation. For four generations, the Dagueneau family has been committed to producing quality wines that reflect the unique terroir of Pouilly-sur-Loire and Saint-Andelain. The estate, with approximately 17 hectares of vineyards, is HVE certified (Haute Valeur Environnementale), which underlines their commitment to sustainable agricultural practices. This respect for nature is reflected in the expressive and authentic wines they produce.

The focus of the estate is Pouilly-Fumé, a dry white wine made from the Sauvignon Blanc grape. The wines are known for their characteristic aromas of flint (silex), citrus, boxwood and subtle smoky notes, coming from the unique soil composition of limestone, clay and Kimmeridge. In addition to the "Tradition" cuvée, the domaine also produces "L'Odyssée", a selection with even more complexity and concentration. The vinification often includes maturation "sur lie" with regular battonage, which contributes to the texture and complexity of the wines.

In addition to the iconic white wines, Domaine Serge Dagueneau et Filles also produces red wine from Pinot Noir under the name "Les Montées de Saint Lay" in the lesser-known Côtes de la Charité appellation. These red wines, matured in wooden barrels, offer a pleasant change and show the versatility of the domain. With aromas of red fruit and subtle spices, these wines are worth discovering. The domaine strives to offer a story, pleasure and a beautiful moment of sharing in all their cuvées.
