Domaine Cady is an estate in the heart of the AOP wines of the Coteaux du Layon. A vineyard set in the heart of the Loire Valley offering favorable conditions for producing organic wine for the d’Appellations d’Origine Protégées (Protected Designations of Origin).
Wine producers from father to son for 4 generations since 1927, the estate today counts 28 Ha. Philippe and Sylvie with their son Alexandre put all their expertise, knowhow and passion into a service of quality. Our vineyard is situated at St Aubin de Luigné in the heart of the AOC classification Coteaux Du Layon. Its south facing hillsides enjoy a privileged position that favours the ripening of our grapes.
Our vineyards and its wine have an "organic" Certification by Ecocert. The harvesting is done by hand; in order to select the best bunches of grapes to produce wines of quality. Our wines are aged in a natural way, without chaptalisation (The addition of sugar to juice beforeand/or during fermentation). Our emblematic grape variety is of course Chenin Blanc, planted on our schisty soil hillsides overlooking the Layon. Our range of wines is extensive and varied, given the different grape varieties and diverse appellations of our region. This allow us to satisfy differing tastes from white and red Anjou, Coteaux du Layon, du Rosé de Loire and Cabernet d'Anjou but also with Crémant de Loire Brut (Blanc et Rosé).
