Château de Salettes

Château de Salettes

Right in the middle of the “premières côtes”, which is the historic cradle of the vineyard, between Gaillac and Cordes, stands the Chateau de Salettes (at Cahuzac sur Vère), a limestone castle surrounded by its vineyards. Facing south, on a clay-limestone soil beneficial to the vine the vineyard of the Château de Salettes possesses a unique geoclimatic situation.

The wealth and character of these wines is born from the typical blending of grape varieties of the appellation, such as Duras and Braucol for red wines or Mauzac and Loin de l’oeil for white wines.

The well-tempered chai allows this wine to slowly age in 400 liter oak barrels and thanks to that technique that brings out the finesse and flexibility of our wines, they are ranked amongst the greatest wines of Gaillac.
