German Mosel wines

Le  Connaisseur runs a wide range of Mosel Saar Ruwer wines from various leading German wineries as Markus Molitor, Fritz Haag, Dr. Loosen, Selbach-Oster, Heymann Löwenstein, J.J. Prüm, Grans Fassian and Hain.

The Moselle in Germany is one of the most dramatic wine-growing regions in the world in terms of nature. Many of the vineyards are extremely steep (the steepest in the world can be found at Bremm at 67%!) And the Moselle river meanders so strongly that it looks like a snake from above. In addition, the banks are so deeply excavated that micro climates are the rule rather than the exception. The Moselle lies directly above the country's border with Luxembourg, where wine-growing also takes place along the river, and extends northeast to the city of Koblenz. The region is well protected on the northwest side from cool northern influences by various hills. The vineyards are all located on south and / or west-oriented slopes along the river.
