Riesling wines Germany
German Riesling wines
The Riesling grape can be found in a cold climate such as the German Moselle, but also in warmer Australia. The substrate "the terroir" is important. This determines the taste: smoky, earthy, spicy or a floral undertone. Riesling can vary from very dry to sweet white wine. In Germany, 20% of the wine is made from Riesling grapes.
Wine & Food
The dry, white Riesling is extremely suitable as an aperitif. But can also be combined with spicy (er) dishes. Dry to semi-dry, this wine goes well with fish dishes, poultry or asparagus. Semi-dry to slightly sweet with fresh cheese. Fruity, sweet or noble sweet go well with (fruit) desserts.
