For more than three generations the Tacchino family has produced wine of a well known quality. Alessio and Romina represent the new generation, inheriting the passion for these lands from their grandfather who was the founder and from their father and with the support of technology for the production and the advice of expert oenologist, adding value to a wine which is already good traditionally. The wine agency of Luigi Tacchino was born in Castelletto d’Orba , in alto Monferrato in Piemonte, about the second half of the last century. In these lands fascinating and rich of tradition started the production of Bianco Gavi and Rosso Dolcetto d’Ovada and Barbera del Monferrato which remain even today the most precious pearls of the agency together with these, loving and knowing work man-ship in the hills of Alto Monferrato , have produced in the years wines, which are also precious, and they accompany the more traditional products.
Monferrato has always been a great wine country, where the vineyards cover like a cloak, the hills which dominate the countryside. In these green territories we find the cultivation of the wine agency of Luigi Tacchino, which is developed on a surface of 25 hectares, which, about half are screwed from the form the exposure south, southeast, the white land is natural amphitheater which protects the vineyards from winds which came from the north, together with the low production of hectare, allows the product to be cured and to be of excellent quality. The vine-harvestings of vine-shot begins, in different times, all September and October and is done manually, in boxes and with a selection of grapes in the vineyard with full respect of a tradition which needs a direct contact and care of the land and its product.
Today Romina and Alessio look after the production of the firm thanks to the support of new technological instruments for the cultivation, together with expert oenologists, during the process of vinification, of rigid and continuous control from the bottling to the moment of.
