Palmento Costanzo was founded in 2011, when Mimo Costanzo acquired about 7 hectares of beautiful old vines (the age of the vines is between 30 and 100 years old). All bush vines on the popular northern slopes of Mount Etna, at a high altitude near the village of Passopisciaro. Of course there is plenty of Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio here for the famous red of Etna. But there is also quite a bit of Carricante for white, and a little Catarratto. The Italians have known for decades that absolute top wine is made here. The international press is now also finding out.
