Casisano is set among the quiet hills of Tuscany, surrounded by noble vineyards and majestic olive trees. It is one of the oldest estates in Montalcino and owned by Tommasi since March 2015.
Casisano covers 22 hectares of Sangiovese Grosso vineyards and is situated on a beautiful natural terrace overlooking the south-eastern part of Montalcino at Sant'Angelo in Colle and St. Antimo Abbey. The soil is rich in limestone, marl, clay and galestro, supplemented with volcanic rock. Currently 10 plots are distinguished, each with its own character, determined by the composition of the soil and a height that varies from 400 to 480 meters. Casisano's goal is to fully utilize the 22 hectares of Sangiovese vineyards and to exploit the gifts of this beautiful estate and turn each vine into a grand bottle of wine.
