Weingut Julius Klein has been committed to viticulture since 1788 with the aim of producing Grüner Veltliner at the highest level. Weingut Julius Klein is located about 50 kilometers north of the Danube and Vienna in the province of Niederösterreich the wine-growing region Weinviertel.
With 18,000 hectares of vineyards, it is also the largest wine-growing area in Austria. Formerly the mass producer of Austria, but for about ten years now the cradle of the vigorously growing Austrian quality viticulture. The slightly sloping hilly landscape has a climate that can be called fairly cool and the terroir around Pernersdorf is determined by a relatively poor loess and loam soil, ideal for Grüner Veltliner.
