Elegant, dry Weissburgunders with fresh acidity and fine fruit are ideal food wines. The range ranges from light summer wines to powerful dry Auslese. Weissburgunder is not too alcoholic and has a civilized aroma often reminiscent of green nuts, apple, pear, quince, apricot, citrus fruit or fresh pineapple.
A medium body and a pleasantly fresh acidity make it versatile at the table, for example with seafood, fish, veal, pork and poultry. When properly chilled, it is also delicious as a terrace wine. More extracted versions, with or without barrique, also suit lamb or young game.
