Marchesi di Barolo

Marchesi di Barolo is a renowned winery located in the Barolo region of Piedmont, Italy. Founded in 1807 by the Marquis of Barolo, the winery has a long history of producing high-quality wines from the Nebbiolo grape variety. Today, the winery is run by the Abbona family, who acquired it in the 1920s and have continued to produce exceptional Barolo wines using traditional methods.

The winery produces a range of wines, including several Barolo wines made from different vineyards within the Barolo region. Their classic Barolo is made from grapes grown in the Barolo commune and is known for its elegance and balance, while their Cannubi Barolo is made from grapes grown in the prestigious Cannubi vineyard and is known for its complexity and longevity.

In addition to Barolo wines, Marchesi di Barolo also produces wines from other grape varieties, including Barbera, Dolcetto, and Moscato. Their Barbera d'Alba is particularly noteworthy, offering rich, complex flavors and a smooth finish.
