Socré

Socré

Socré is a traditional family-run winery located in Barbaresco, in the heart of the Langhe region of Piedmont. Its history dates back to 1871, when the Di Gaetano family purchased their first vineyards in the Roncaglie cru. Today, the fourth generation continues the legacy, blending tradition with a touch of modernity to craft authentic wines.

The estate covers about 3.5 hectares of south- and southwest-facing vineyards on calcareous marl soils, perfectly suited to Nebbiolo. Socré is best known for its elegant Barbaresco, but also produces Barbera d’Alba and Langhe Nebbiolo. In the cellar, traditional winemaking is enhanced by the use of large Slavonian oak casks, resulting in refined and balanced wines with depth and character. The estate remains dedicated to small-scale production, manual harvesting, and the pure expression of its unique terroir.
