Goméz Cruzado

Bodegas y Viñedos Goméz Cruzado

Gómez Cruzado is a winery located in the historic Barrio de la Estación in Haro, in the heart of Rioja Alta in Spain. The winery was founded in 1886 by Ángel Gómez Arnedo and was acquired by the Gómez Cruzado family in 1916. Today, the winery is run by the fourth generation of the family and is known for producing high-quality Rioja wines that reflect the traditional winemaking techniques of the region.

The vineyards of Gómez Cruzado are located in the Rioja Alta, where the grapes are grown on soils that are rich in limestone and clay. The winery cultivates a variety of grape varietals, including Tempranillo, Garnacha, Graciano, and Viura.

The winery produces a range of wines, including their flagship wine, the Gómez Cruzado Reserva. This wine is made from a blend of Tempranillo, Garnacha, and Graciano grapes and is aged in oak barrels for 18 months. The wine is known for its aromas of red fruit, vanilla, and spices, as well as its smooth and well-structured palate.

In addition to their Reserva, Gómez Cruzado also produces a range of other wines, including their Blanco, made from Viura grapes, and their Honorable, a limited-edition wine made from a selection of the best grapes from their vineyards.

Gómez Cruzado is committed to sustainable winemaking practices, and they have implemented a number of initiatives to reduce their environmental impact, including the use of renewable energy sources and the implementation of organic farming practices. The winery is also focused on preserving the traditional winemaking techniques of the Rioja region and creating wines that reflect the unique terroir of the area.
