Losada Vinos de Finca is located in the village of Cacabelos, in the heart of the Bierzo. Bierzo is a small wine region in the northwest of Castilla y León, Spain. The winery was founded in 2004 by a group of winegrowing veterans. Their aim is to take the wines of the region to the next level, with elegance, balance and purity as a priority. In doing so, they approach it differently than most winemakers in the region, who mainly produce powerful wines with a clear influence of barrel aging.
Losada Vinos de Finca goes for elegance and wines with a supple structure in which the wood plays a supporting role instead of the main role. Not only are they way ahead in winemaking, the winery also looks ultra-modern. It is one with nature, a beautiful creation by architect Jesus Manzanares, definitely worth a visit. Losada Vinos de Finca is the first winery to make single vineyard wines from Mencía in Bierzo.
