Salentein Primus Malbec
Salentein Primus Malbec is a beautiful Argentinian Malbec wine from Bodegas Salentein from the Salentein Primus range. The vineyards are located in the heart of Alto Vale de Uco, Argentina, over 1300 meters above sea level and are over 30 years old. The soil consists of coarse rock, which provides perfect water drainage. The nights are cool and the days sunny and warm resulting in concentrated fruity wines with a nice acidity and ripe tannin. All this gives the wine its unique characteristics. The grapes come from the famous El Portillo Estate.
The grapes for this wine are hand-picked and crushed very carefully. The temperature is kept as low as possible during fermentation. Furthermore, 14 months aging in new French oak and 1 year in bottle. An inky, black red wine with an intense aroma of black currants, blackberries, vanilla, tobacco and spices.
