Bodegas Faustino

Bodegas Faustino is a Spanish winery located in the Rioja region of northern Spain. The winery was founded in 1861 by Eleuterio Martinez Arzok and is now owned and operated by the fifth generation of the same family. Faustino is one of the most recognizable and respected Rioja wineries in the world, known for producing high-quality wines that reflect the unique terroir of the region.

Faustino owns over 650 hectares of vineyards, which are situated at an altitude of 400-700 meters and are planted with a variety of grape varietals, including Tempranillo, Graciano, and Mazuelo. The vineyards are located on hillsides that provide excellent exposure to the sun, as well as soils that are rich in limestone and other minerals.

Faustino produces a range of wines, including their flagship wine, the Faustino I Gran Reserva. This wine is made from a blend of Tempranillo, Graciano, and Mazuelo grapes and is aged in American oak barrels for a minimum of two years, followed by three years of bottle aging. The wine is known for its aromas of ripe black fruit, spices, and vanilla, as well as its full-bodied and well-structured palate.

In addition to their Faustino I Gran Reserva, Faustino also produces a range of other wines, including their Faustino V Reserva, Faustino VII, and Faustino Crianza. These wines are all made from carefully selected grapes and are aged in oak barrels for varying lengths of time.

Faustino is committed to sustainable winemaking practices and has implemented a number of initiatives to reduce their environmental impact, including the use of renewable energy sources and the implementation of organic farming practices.
