Domaine Jean Goulley et Fils is located in the heart of Chablis (Burgundy).
Traditionally, in Burgundy, Chablis wines are made only from Chardonnay grapes. The terroir occupies a decisive place in the wine variety. That is why they have opted for an organic culture that allows lively and expressive grounds.
The domain consists of a beautiful plot in the middle of the famous hill of Premier Cru Fourchaume. In the mid-1960s, Jean was given a large plot, 2.5 hectares, in the middle of the Premier Cru Montmains hill. The family now also has an important vineyard on the Premier Cru Mont de Milieu and a few Chablis parcels in La Chapelle Vaupelteigne.
The wines are pure in style, have a beautiful minerality and are rock solid. Phillipe Goulley believes in young fresh wines, in which you can find the terroir and the environment. He has most of the work on maintaining the vines. Effortlessly and all year round, he works in the vineyards for a crushing grape quality.
