Urban wine growing. A hip term for vineyards within the city limits. You don't hear that often, but in Vienna it is the most normal thing in the world. Hajszan Neumann owns first-class vineyards in Vienna. First-class, because the soil consists of limestone that was formed millions of years ago by movements of the sea. This results in wines with great expression and minerality. Here they make fourteen different wines and work exclusively biodynamically with great respect for soil life and old winemaking traditions.
