Domaine du Murinais

Domaine du Murinais is a family-owned winery located in the village of Pilat-en-Chartreuse, in the Isère department of France, near the northern border of the Rhône Valley wine region. The domaine has been run by the Besson family for four generations and specializes in the production of AOC Chartreuse and Vin de Pays wines.

The vineyard covers 22 hectares of terraced slopes, planted mainly with Syrah, Grenache, and Viognier grape varieties. The vineyard is managed with sustainable agriculture practices, and the winery is certified organic by Ecocert.

The winemaking at Domaine du Murinais is traditional, with hand harvesting and fermentation in stainless steel tanks or concrete vats. The wines are aged in oak barrels or vats, depending on the wine, and the estate produces a range of red, white, and rosé wines. The wines are known for their balance, freshness, and elegance, and have received numerous awards and accolades over the years.
