Connection with nature is of paramount importance at the Gernot Hain winery. The Hain family has been making wine on the steep, renowned and impressive Piesporter Goldtröpfchen vineyard in the Moselle since the seventeenth century.
The vineyard is planted on steep to very steep (60%!) Slopes, with a slate bottom from the devon era and a full southern zone exposition. The soil type and specific microclimate give the Rieslings extra character, with the typical Moselle minerality in the wines of top producers.
Riesling at a high level! Both Der Feinschmecker and Eichelmann give the domain 4 stars.
