Montes Outer Limits CGM has a bright, ruby red color. Aromas of blackberries, dried figs and a light undertone of cinnamon. An elegant spiciness, due to the aging in French oak barrels, which gives the wine aromas of light toast. A fresh wine, nicely balanced, with strong acids that make the wine very elegant.
Outer Limits CGM originates from the Colchagua Valley of the Apalta Vineyard.
Delicious wine with pasta Bolognese, stew, meat, grilled peppers, hard cheeses.
Montes Outer Limits CGM is a delicious Chilean red wine of Viña Montes from Chile. This wine is made from Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre grapes.
Montes' story seems like a dream but has become more and more reality. In 1987, Aurelio Montes and Douglas Murray, both with extensive expertise in the world of wine, set out to realize their dream of producing top quality wines far superior to those produced in Chile up to that point. In 1988 two more partners joined, Alfredo Vidaurre and Pedro Grand, each of whom made their special and complementary contribution, thus giving birth to Viña Montes.
Montes is one of the absolute top producers in Chile and Aurelio Montes was recently voted Chile's most influential winemaker. Montes has five vineyards. Three of them are in Curico Valley and two in Colchagua Valley. In 2004, a completely new winery was built in Alpalta, which was set up according to the Chinese Fengh Shui philosophy. Aurelio Jr. has now also earned his spurs as a winemaker and together with his father he forms a close and successful team.
