Altùris Sauvignon, an Italian Friuli wine, is an elegant, fresh and full-bodied white wine with notes of sage, tomato leaf and mint in combination with fruity aromas of grapefruit and exotic fruit.
The whole grapes are gently pressed to obtain the must, followed by a cold static decantation. Fermentation and aging take place "sur lies" in stainless steel tanks under controlled temperature.
Excellent as an aperitif, matches nicely any fish starters and particularly fine with crab or lobster, asparagus, vegetable soups and risotto with herbs.
Alturis Sauvignon is a delicious Italian white wine from the Friuli region. This wine is made by winery Alturis from Sauvignon grapes.
In the far north east of Italy, close to Venice and a short walk from Cividale del Friuli on the border with Austria and Slovenia, the Altùris vines benefit from a unique microclimate. The Julian Alps protect them from the cold winds of the north, while the wind from the Adriatic Sea softens the climate, giving the vineyards exceptional conditions to produce high quality wines.
Altùris was founded by Marco and Massimo Zorzettig, heirs of a historic family that has been a symbol of solid entrepreneurship in the wine world for three generations. The beautiful hills of Friuli are called "Altùris" in their native language. The winery is dedicated to creating unique wines, suitable for all the scents and aromas of our territorial grapes.
