Vietti Nebbiolo Perbacco

Vietti Perbacco Nebbiolo has an intense ruby red color. Full of ripe fruity aromas (cherries, raspberries) with floral undertones and a hint of spice. Complex, ripe, (medium) full of structure, surprisingly elegant and mineral, with fleshy tannins and a long, powerful and lush finish. An awe-inspiring wine that many Barolo producers will envy.

This wine undergoes a traditional alcoholic fermentation of 18-21 days. The malolactic fermentation takes place first in stainless steel tanks and then on wood. The young wine is first aged in barriques for 10 months and then 16 months in large Slavonian wood barrels (3,000 litres). Before bottling, the wine rests for a few months in stainless steel tanks. Decant to separate wine and sediment and/or aerate on carafe: Transfer to a carafe well before serving to allow wine to breathe.

Wine - Food pairing

This great wine calls for the typical Piedmontese specialty, beef or veal brasato smothered in Nebbiolo wine. However, it also combines excellently with tasty international dishes: game terrine, grilled or roasted lamb with a (forest) fruit sauce, stews with sausage. Delicious with ripe hard cheeses from Northern Italy!

This wine systematically scores high with Robert Parker (90 PP) and Wine Spectator (90).

Vietti Perbacco Nebbiolo

Vietti Perbacco Nebbiolo is a delicious Italian red wine from the Piedmont region. This beautiful wine is made by winery Vietti from Nebbiolo grapes.

La Famiglia Vietti

The history of the Vietti winery traces its roots back to the 19th Century. Only at the beginning of the 20th century, however, did the Vietti name become a winery offering its own wines in bottle. Patriarch Mario Vietti, starting from 1919 made the first Vietti wines, selling most of the production in Italy. His most significant achievement was to transform the family farm, engaged in many fields, into a grape-growing and wine-producing business.

Vietti is definitely a top domain. Mario Cordero's robust Barolos and Barberas are world class and very scarce! In addition, he brings an extremely good Nebbiolo to the market with the Nebbiolo Langhe Perbacco.
